Report on First Annual Convocation of National Institute of Technology


Patna

The first annual convocation of National Institute of Technology Patna was held on 29th June

2010 in the Shrikrishna Memorial Hall near Gandhi Maidan, Patna. Dr. U. C. Ray, Director

NIT Patna presented the Director’s report regarding the activities and development schemes of

the Institute. Degrees of B. Arch, B. Tech and M. Tech were presented to altogether 669

recipients who passed out in different sessions as detailed below:

Besides this 19 Gold medals were presented to the Branch toppers, and 3 certificates of

Excellence with Gold Medals were presented to the Overall toppers of different batches of

passing. Total 227 graduates received their degrees in person from the Hon’ble Director.

Hon’ble Dr. R. P. Singh, Chairman, Board of Governors, NIT Patna presided over the

ceremony in which members of Bord of Governers, members of Senate and other dignitaries

were present.

His Excellency Devanand Konwar the Governor of Bihar graced the occasion with his

august presence as the Chief Guest and blessed the recipients for successful career in the future.
